Our History
In 1975, Système Huntingdon Inc. was founded under the direction of Mr. Moritz Gruber, who remains the head of the company today. At the time of its creation, Sh[i] essentially offered design and fabrication of trade show exhibits, showrooms and display components. Sh[i] has distinguished itself from its inception by its use of modular units and its bold designs.
In 1989, the first innovative product launched by Sh[i] made its entry into the world of graphics. Folia™ custom laminates were born from Mr. Gruber’s idea to integrate corporate branding visuals into Sh[i]’s architectural concepts in a permanent and durable way. Folia™ quickly won great success, leading us to the creative development of several useful applications over the years to meet growing demand in new markets impressed by the durability of products and their benefits including: museums, parks, municipalities, trails, tourist attractions, zoos, aquariums, botanical gardens, restaurants, hotels, stadiums, and amphitheaters.
In 2006, Sh[i] introduced another innovative product, Alto™, providing the technique to apply spectacular fused graphics to a variety of materials. Equally ingenious and effective as Folia™, Alto™ has the additional, unique capability of allowing graphics application to nearly any textured or three-dimensional, recoverable or recyclable material.
Winner of countless awards, Sh[i] continues to maintain its leadership as an innovator at the international level. It is possible to admire commercial environments, displays, graphic flooring and wall panels created and produced by Sh[i] all over the world. Often imitated, but never equaled, Système Huntingdon Inc. is committed to remaining unique with its name synonymous with quality, ingenuity and effectiveness.
